Hook your Dish network receiver output to a open audio video input on your television set.
To watch local channels use channel up down on TV set.
To watch Dish network change video input on TV set to input Dish network receiver output is hooked, Change channel up and down on dish network receiver.
Method 2 DTV antenna in to Dish receiver.
Hook outdoor or indoor TV antenna to TV antenna input on dish receiver.
Scan DTV channels in dish receiver.
(This method 2 requires that your dish network receiver have a Over-the-Air DTV tuner, some do and some do not, some need a module ordered from dish network)
